My little girls enjoy making classic homemade pancakes especially on Saturday mornings. Once in a while I like to change it up, and I happened to find powdered matcha green tea in the front of my pantry which inspired this recipe. I bought this matcha green tea powder to make matcha lattes at home. This particular day I was in the mood for pancakes and matcha green tea pancakes sounded like a great idea. I was so excited to try it out! Two of my favorite things, pancakes and green tea.
This recipe makes about 6 pancakes which can serve 3-4 people, but can easily be doubled if you need more.

Notes:
Homemade pancakes are very easy to make. The trick is to make sure your pan is fully heated up before pouring any batter onto it, and use a medium to medium high heat setting. I tried a stainless steel skillet a few times and it was tricky, making it more difficult to flip the pancakes. I found it best to use a nonstick skillet, however I sometimes use my cast iron skillet which is also easy to work with.
